Why did I put this in the board for rules? Oh well! Okay, so, I'm thinking of quitting. Not just this site, but role playing in general. That explains why I haven't answered anyones posts, and if I have, why they are so horrible. It's not in me to role play anymore, and I don't know why. So, I'm going to be more and more inactive (not like I was active to begin with anyway) until I figure out if I want to quit or not. I may still come back once in a while to post. While I am here but not really here, Kaylin is now your main admin. If she ever gets on, listen to her. Don't think of me as completely gone, just temporarily.

I am sorry if you feel that way. I did reread the post, and still felt it needed more, as did the other admin, which is why she posted saying so. It's not like I didn't like your application. For personality, for instance, needed two paragraphs and from what I see there was only one. Little things like that bug me, especially when I have testing coming up in about two hours, and midterms later on this week.
All this may have been a misunderstanding, or not. If you still want to leave, go ahead, I guess. I'd rather you don't, but it's all up to you. I'm sorry.
I never actually said I banned female characters from being made. Also, I was never saying that females couldn't join. I was just saying that more male characters could be used. I seriously don't care what gender you are. "MALE CHARACTERS NEEDED I may (or may not) stop letting girls join until there are more male characters. Okay? So, just a heads up."
It was just there to let people know ahead of time, incase I actually do that, which I doubt I will. =/

Also, a little tip: Saying that you won't let female members join until you have enough male members only decreases the members you get. People will see the site, start to join, then see that they can't even be their own gender and leave. They won't wait until girls are allowed, they'll just leave. If boys aren't joining, big deal. You can't ban girls until some boys click your link.

Mia looked around and then sighed, smiling at Lacey. "Hey, sorry about that Lacey I wasn't paying attention." Mia said laughing lightly glad it was someone forgiving that she had run into. "I'm on my way out to as a matter of fact." Mia said looking around to make sure there weren't more people for her to bump into.

Mia was walking but, as per usual, was preoccupied while doing so. This particular walk found her nose in a book not paying a bit if mind to the world around her. She was actually on her way to the lake and while it was namely her subconscience that was guiding her, it wasn't making adjustments for people.
Before Mia knew it she felt like she bumped into someone. Stopping immediately Mia looked around looking for the person she needed to apologize to. She hoped deeply that it wasn't a Slytherin, she didn't want to give one any more of a reason to hex her than they already had.

Lily watched her cousin with grin... nobody said she was normal.

Appearance, at least two paragraphs:Lacey looks a lot like her mother, except for her hair-she inherited her father's bright red hair. She has beautiful bright green eyes, which she considers her best feature, next to her red hair. Her face is heart shaped with lightly sculpted cheekbones, with a small, straight nose and a graceful mouth. She isn't exceptionally beautiful, but she can when she wants to be. Her skin is light without being too pale, and has a few freckles dotted across her nose and cheeks very carefully. She is a bit tall for her age and lean, her body buff enough to get the job done on the Quidditch pitch and curvy enough to rule a dance floor. Her hands and fingers are elegant, like a dancer's. Lacey loves to put a spin on her uniform, wearing pins, bows, funky printed ties, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, belts, and various other things. She hold herself with the uttmost confidence and is usually smiling. Her walk is very special-her long legs carry her quickly with the grace and elegance of a jungle cat in a model sort of way. She doesn't wear much makeup, but sometimes wears a little to eyeliner or lipgloss. Her nails are almost always painted.
Personality, at least two paragraphs:Lacey is confident, intelligent, and sometimes pretty sensitive. She is loyal to anyone who earns it and thinks everyone should be given a chance to prove themselves. She is quick witted, cunning, and doesn't take insults easily. She loves to have fun and can make anything fun, using her positive outlook. Lacey is courageous, hence her being in Gryffindor and is very daring, usually taking the leader position when something is happening. She is cool and nerdy at the same time-she loves Quidditch and music but strives to do well in school and enjoys reading. She is open to making new friends and totally likes spreading her fun and happiness. She is a sucker for other people crying...she can't stand it because seeing someone else cry makes her cry, no matter how stupid it is. She sometimes has a hard time consoling people, which she totally loathes, considering it an ugly smudge on her colorful personality.

She could make a toy out of anything, and was always playing tricks on her older brother, and the other way around, with the support of their father. Lacey grew up wanting to be just like her parents, and when it came to being sorted at school she wanted nothing more follow her parents and her brother and be in Gryffindor. She immediately blossomed as a good student and gained many friends. Her pet was an old owl she had rescued when she was 8, and was devastated when it died in the summer before her 2nd year, and her parents delighted her with an early birthday present to Diagon Alley to the pet store, where she chose a white cat whom she named Mystic.

Family: Father: Charlie Weasley Mother: Aurora (Sinistra) Weasley Aunts & Uncles: The other 5 Weasleys and their spouses. Cousins: All of the second generation Weasleys.
Appearance, at least two paragraphs: She’s 5’ 7” with an athletic build. She has long, toned legs and big feet (*cough*size 10*cough). Her eyes tend to change shade depending on what she wears but they are always blue tinted. They are most often a grey-blue (as that’s what the look like when she’s in uniform).
Mia has straight brown hair that comes to her shoulders. Her hair has a red tint to it in certain light that comes from being a Weasley. Her skin is light like her fathers but has an olive undertone from her mother. She has small dark freckles dotting her arms and face with a slightly bigger one directly between her eyes.
Personality, at least two paragraphs: Mia is sociable like any young woman; but is really a bit shy (especially when it comes to 'more than friends') because she worries about how people think or her personality/actions. She has full respect for all 'officials' (even if she doesn't like them as a person).
To friends and loved ones she is kind, funny, and has some of the best quips and comebacks there are. As a person she would take any secret to the grave and never betray anyone. Mia is defensive and protective of her beliefs, friends, values, etc.; she’s also beyond sarcastic. She is also very stubborn and cannot be talked into something she doesn't want to do unless the talker is an absolute best friend.
Mia can at times be very self conscious and very negative about herself and deals with occasional depression due to her being bi-polar. She can be very self-centered when she gets depressed and can act a bit haughty and showy about how smart she is at times though she tries to be humble.

Character history, at least one well written paragraph: Born to parents Aurora and Charlie Weasley. Aurora is the astronomy professor at Hogwarts and her father a former dragon keeper. Mia is an only child but has always had a warm and rich home life with lots of cousins and friends.
Mia was raised in a small Irish village (Charlie had retired from dragons and was working with local creatures by the time Mia was born) with it being just her and her dad 9 months out of the year when her mother was teaching but she and her mother wrote back and forth every week until Mia’s first year at Hogwarts and it changed to writing her dad every week. During the 3 months of summer they travel as much as they can.
Since Mia has been at Hogwarts she’s developed into a beautiful young woman with her father’s thirst for adventure and her dreaminess which has resulted in her wanting to be an ambassador for the ministry.
Likes, dislikes and why; at least four for each: Likes: Drawing – She got a good hand and it’s a creative outlet for her. Reading – Reading is, in her mind, a way to escape reality and go on a trip to another universe. Making Spells – Also a creative outlet and very fun for pranking people. Goofing off (laughing) - Everyone loves to laugh, the way to Mia laugh is innocent humor and general goofiness. Deep (meaningful) conversation. – Mia loves feeling like an intellectual and also feels deep conversation helps to bond people and bring them closer. Dislikes: Arrogance & Male Chauvinists – These are Mia’s number one turn offs. She hates both of them deeply and if you so much as hint at either she’s likely to put you in your place one way or another. Hypocrites – Mia’s second turn off, much like arrogant people and chauvinists if you act hypocritical she’s likely to call you on it. People who can’t respect other’s opinions (i.e. You’re stupid if you don’t agree with me) – Mia regards these kind of people as hypocrites and can’t stand to be around them. Prejudice – This absolutely infuriates Mia, she can’t stand people who make up their mind before they know all the facts.
Best class(es), and why: Transfiguration and Charms. Both subjects are defined and have rules and certain practices. They’re like math and science, there’s only one right answer. And advanced transfiguration requires a bit of creativity, something Mia loves to flourish in.
Worst class(es), and why: Divination, Mia has what’s best described as an anti-inner eye (in other words she has NO aptitude for the subject). It’s a whimsy subject that has no rules and the rights and wrongs are subject to human perception (in other words it all depends on who you’re talking to).
Pet, if any: Kira, a half kneezle half cat.

This sample may be taken from another site, and if it is, please provide a link to where you took it from: Mia’s dark hair was pulled back in a lose bun with a few pieces hanging down having fallen out anyway. She was curled up on the end of a couch in a spot she had designated as her’s. A pile of books sat on the floor next to her but in her lap at current was a sketch pad. Mia was nearly done with the lines she’d been drawing and then it was back to reading.
She sighed and stopped for a moment to look up at the ceiling. She, for once, wasn’t looking forward to reading. Probably because it was the ridiculously boring texts she put off reading until she couldn’t put off anymore.
“Lord, why do these books have to be so…boring?” Mia asked groaning. She sighed deeply and looked back to her sketch pad. She finished her sketch and closed spiral bound pad and slipped into her school bag. She picked up a book off the top of the pile and riffled through the pages until she found where she had started putting markers.

I agree. More should definately be added. More in Personality and your best and worse things. But, mostly Personality and Appearance. For appearance, does she like her hair and her long legs? Some people don't like long legs, is she one is them? For Personality, add detail. Give examples. Don't just list traits. Add more!
